The New Ford F-150 "Limited" will Combine Luxury Features with Under-the-Hood Muscle

It goes without saying that every Ford F-150 packs some considerable power under the hood. Even if you just invest in the base model, you'll often get a robust truck with more than enough muscle to handle your toughest jobs.

For those drivers looking for real power, however, the Ford F-150 Raptor has long been the model to aspire to. Designed for off-roading and utilizing powerful engine options, it's been a favorite for drivers who love to know they can handle anything and go anywhere.

The Ford F-150 Limited has generally been a different kind of beast. Powerful yes, but more oriented toward drivers interested in adding a touch of luxury to their pickup truck experience. With the 2019 model, however, Ford intends to change that.

"F-150 Limited customers create their own success. The truck is their reward,” said Todd Eckert, the manager of Ford's truck group marketing team. "They wanted more power, so we combined Raptor’s engine with Limited’s business-class features to deliver Baja fierceness, boardroom style and the grit to tackle tough jobs."

Starting in 2019, the new version of the Ford F-150 Limited will come equipped with the same 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 you'd find in the F-150 Raptor. While it won't come equipped with the other off-road centric features that make also make the Raptor special, the F-150 Limited will be able to match its 450 horsepower output.
